Mark H. Witte has been a Sierra Club member for over 35 years and has held Board positions with the Texas Solar Energy Society and the North Texas Renewable Energy Group. A lifelong advocate of the environment, Mark believes nonprofits working to better the environment must do a better job of recruiting and retaining new, younger members which are crucial to the growth and vitality of those organizations. Strongly  believing that  like-minded non-profits must learn to work more closely together on important, common goals to enact noticeable, sustainable change, Mark works to bring everyone together to create partnerships and a path to success. 

In his personal life, Mark and his wife are retired and enjoy traveling around the U.S. to hike in State and National Parks.. They also enjoy visiting National Wildlife Refuges and National Forests.
