The Vermont Sierra Club hosted a conversation with Vermont State Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale regarding the S.148, An act relating to environmental justice in Vermont. When Senator Ram Hinsdale was first elected as a Representative in 2008 she introduced an Environmental Justice Bill, now 13 years later as a Senator she has introduced another bill. • Equal access to clean air, clean water, outdoor recreation, healthy homes, health care, and fresh food.
• Enhancing public participation and access to information, as well as removing language barriers.
• Ensuring no discrimination based on race, national origin, disability, or income; and equal distribution of environmental burdens and benefits.
