We care a great deal about bringing clean energy to the region and are working to educate our communities and legislators on how we can move forward with sustainable solutions.  It's these initiatives which we hope will not only lower our carbon footprint, help combat sea-level rise, and strengthen our communities to face the challenges of the future but will make our already wonderful home an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and, most importantly, enjoy the abundance of beautiful wild spaces in which we have to recreate.

There are many issues: from pollution of the bay and ocean, Norfolk Southern's coal dust pollution of Lambert's Point and Ghent to Dominion Power's fossil fuel pipelines impacting the cities of Norfolk, and Chesapeake and the threat of off-shore oil and gas drilling in Virginia Beach, there are a plethora of issues which directly impact the residents of the Tidewater region. The membership of Coastal Virginia Group is diligently working to stem the tide of dirty fossil fuels here in our communities.
