Non tax-deductible gifts

Gifts to the Sierra Club-Wisconsin Chapter give citizens a voice -- helping us hold state leaders accountable for decisions that affect our air, waters, lands and climate. Your investment means we can keep up the pressure on state officials to protect our waters, expand clean energy, and increase transportation options. Make your check payable to Sierra Club – Wisconsin Chapter and mail to 754 Williamson St., Madison, WI 53703. 

Note: Contributions, gifts, and dues to the Sierra Club- Wisconsin Chapter are not tax deductible. They support our effective, citizen-based advocacy and lobbying efforts here in Wisconsin. For tax-deductible giving please read below.


Make a Tax-deductible donation

Tax-deductible gifts will be used for education and legal action in Wisconsin.

Thanks to our fiscal sponsor, the Sierra Club Foundation, you can support Sierra Club Wisconsin's charitable work by making a tax deductible donation. Tax-deductible gifts can also be directed to the Wisconsin Chapter via Community Shares of Wisconsin: Community Shares of Wisconsin supports member agencies (including the Sierra Club Foundation - Wisconsin Chapter) who work to address social, economic, and environmental problems through grassroots action, advocacy, research, and public education.  Click here and select "Sierra Club Foundation" from the list under "Gift Information" to direct your gift to the Sierra Club.


IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution:

Use your required minimum distribution (RMD) to support our work in Wisconsin. If you are at least 70.5 years or older, you can satisfy your RMD and save on taxes by making a gift to support Sierra Club Wisconsin's charitable programs through the Sierra Club Foundation directly from your IRA.

Designate your gift to the Wisconsin Chapter by making checks payable to "Sierra Club Foundation" and inserting Wisconsin Chapter if the memo field. Checks can be mailed to the chapter at 754 Williamson St., Madison, WI 53703 and we will direct it to our fund at the foundation.
