Issues

The Wisconsin Chapter has six current conservation priorities that are divided into two main focus areas.  These include protecting Our Wild Wisconsin through Blocking Destructive Mining, Protecting Forests & Public Lands, Wildlife Protection, and Protecting Water Resources, and Reducing Climate Change Threats through Moving from Coal to Clean Energy, Clean Transportation, and stopping Tar Sands pipelines.  Group and chapter leaders also work on a broad range of other environmental issues throughout Wisconsin, including toxins, recycling and waste disposal, campaign finance reform and more.  We are also active in elections, since one of our best hopes for long term gains is building a strong legislative base to protect our environment.
