 Delaware County RF100 Community Updates

Radnor Township— Adopting this RF100 resolution in Feb. 2019, the Township-appointed Green Team is now overseeing the drafting of an energy transition plan to set the Radnor community on a path towards its goals.  The Radnor High School’s Earth Action Team has been a key supporter of these efforts [watch their video] and is actively pressing the School District to follow suit.

Haverford Township—  Adopting this RF100 resolution in November 2018 and has since purchased two electric fleet vehicles, a hybrid police cruiser, installed two EV charging stations at the Skatium and started energy efficiency studies.

Borough of Lansdowne --  After a strategic planning session, Lansdowne's EAC decided to make renewable energy its #1 priority.  Following the Borough's adoption of a Ready for 100 resolution (September 2019), the EAC began a process of community engagement as preparation for drafting an Energy Transition Plan.  A "Survey Monkey" resident / business owner poll is underway.

Swarthmore -- Swarthmore Borough Council passed a Ready for 100 Resolution in Sept. 2019.  The Borough installed two EV chargers at its municipal parking lot in the center of the business district and is working on replacing lights in Borough Hall with LEDs.  Next step is to go through the 2011 Climate Action Plan and benchmark which of those goals have been accomplished and what remains to be done. The EAC is also seeking to scale up solar installations, e.g. through Solarize.
