Are you ready to be a part of The Big Share? Mark your calendar for March 2nd and 3rd (with a bonus event on March 4!). During this powerful, 36-hour event, Sierra Club Foundation, fiscal sponsor for the Sierra Club-Wisconsin Chapter, will be joining nearly 70 local non-profits to spread the word and raise critical funds for the amazing work being done locally.
Each organization has its unique mission, but our shared passion for community ties us together. The Big Share is an opportunity to bolster each other’s efforts and drive meaningful change. Will you join us?
We’ll be using this opportunity to spotlight our work to protect our water and climate, and have two special events planned. Donations to the Big Share will support our work to protect Wisconsin’s water, land, wildlife, and the climate. This year, we’re highlighting two major threats to Wisconsin and our work to prevent the impacts: the onslaught of data center proposals and the need to shut down Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline:
- Data Centers in Wisconsin Panel: We will be facilitating a panel with other Community Shares organizations during the Big Share Live broadcast. Tune in on March 3rd at 10:00 AM. We’ll be discussing the dangers posed by massive data centers and how we’re all working to protect Wisconsinites. You can tune into the Big Share Live via the Big Share website here.
- Ian's Pizza Big Share Bonus Event: Then join us Wednesday, March 4, from 5:30-7:30, for a Big Share Bonus Event we’re hosting at Garver Feed Mill. View an installation of origami fish that were part of the world record breaking display last year. Plus, socialize with other Sierrans and enjoy a slice of Ian's pizza. Ian's will donate a portion of all sales from the evening to support our work. This event is a celebration of our work to stop tar sands pipeline expansion and a wrap up of our Big Share fundraiser.
Donations raised through Ian's will count toward our Big Share fundraising total! You can add the event to your calendar and get a reminder email by signing up here. Want to support the Sierra Club, but can’t attend the event? Order pizza between 4pm and 9pm and mention Sierra Club on the phone or write “Sierra Club” after your name for a portion of your pizza to go to the Sierra Club.
