Dark Skies, Bright Future Program

From light pollution to warming night temperatures, the impact of the Sierra Club Wisconsin’s work stretches around the clock. Joins us online for a special online program July 29, as part of our Dark Skies, Bright Future fundraiser. We’ll take a look at some of those connections through the lens of our volunteer-led issue teams who are working to protect Wisconsin’s water, land & wildlife and reduce fossil fuel use for the sake of our climate. We’ll also hear from Scott Lind, president of the Kickapoo Valley Dark Sky Initiative, visit High Cliff State park, get insights on wolves, play a few rounds of trivia and raise funds for the Sierra Club Wisconsin Chapter during the Dark Skies, Bright Future program.

This event is free to attend with opportunities to support the work of the Sierra Club Wisconsin Chapter. Donors receive a free glow in the dark sticker, mailed after the fundraiser closes. Donations are not tax-deductible and help support the work of the Wisconsin Chapter right here in our beautiful state. The Dark Skies, Bright Future fundraiser closes August 13 and the teams have set a goal of raising a combined total of $20,000 by that date.  Find out more about the work each team is engaged in and follow their fundraising progress here.
