Lower Merion Sustainability Steering Committee

On Jan 16 2020, a Ready for 100 update was presented to the Lower Merion Sustainability Steering Committee. There was a presentation by Dr Richard Tolin, followed by Jim Wylie & Bill Sabey and then Lisa Longo on Ready for 100 Schools. The evening culminated with young speakers from Welsh Valley Middle School, active with the Sunrise Movement; see video as well as text

Montco Clean Energy Conference

Montco 100% Clean Energy Conference

The inaugural Montco Clean Energy Leaders Kickoff Conference made history on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

70 attendees representing 19 Montgomery County municipalities and our Ready for 100 partners in Delaware and Chester Counties came together to celebrate and collaborate on clean energy planning.  We've started our journey to renewable energy, a journey to mitigate the damages of the climate crisis.

Who attended? Commissioners & Supervisors, Mayors, members of Environmental Advisory Committees (EAC) and/or Environmental Advisory Boards (EAB), Township Managers and... our volunteer team at Montco's Ready for 100 -- each representing one of these towns --Abington, Ambler (#114 to pass the Ready for 100 Resolution),  Bridgeport, Cheltenham (#115),  Conshohocken (#129),  Jenkintown, Lansdale, Lower Frederick, Lower Gwynedd, Lower Merion, Montgomery, Narberth (#121), Norristown (#117), Springfield (#105), Upper Dublin, Upper Merion, West Norriton, Whitemarsh (#113)
