On June 5, 2025, the Vermont Sierra Club had a conversation with Rueben Peckham from UK-based Intelligent Instruments and the Vermont Sierra Club on S.66 and enforcement of Noise Pollution. S.66 was passed in the Vermont Senate this Spring to regulate excessive noise from unmuffled engine braking and noncompliant motorcycles. Excessive noise is a detriment to public health, and noise concerns can be a useful to protect the human and natural environment. In January, we hope that the House Transportation Committee passes S.66. Watch the recording from our conversation here.
