Outings and Conservation: Connect with us to enjoy, explore and protect.

Dayhike & Dine

Wow, what a season of hiking and biking in Vermont.

Outings are an important part of the Sierra Club work. By leading people on outdoor activities, we connect with members and friends while exploring the landscape we are working to protect. If you are interested in being a part of our outings team, please email Bob Galvin at bob.galvin@sierraclub.org. However, that said, look below at our most recent outings.

Last weekend, the Vermont Sierra Club launched our new monthly outings program, Dayhike & Dine. This new hiking series is being led by Sierra Club Volunteer Jared Pendak and will be hosted on the third Saturday of the month(Except December). Each hike will include a post-hike gathering at a local restaurant and a conversation regarding a conservation issues.

And then last Sunday, on a superb day, a few of us got out for another ride along the future Connecticut River Valley Trail. We rode from Norwich to Cedar Circle Farms, then across the river to Lyme, NH, and back to Hanover. We are on the path to building this trail from the Massachusetts border to Canada.
