Your City, Your Choice
Help shape the future of East Palo Alto's Ravenswood Business District by attending the Second Public Workshop #2 on September 27th (6:00 - 8:30pm) and the next City Council Meeting on Sept 28th.
The East Palo Alto City Council is considering adding 4 million square feet of new office space through a Specific Plan Update in the Ravenswood Business District -- a huge expansion equivalent to NINE Transamerica Pyramids (and about four times the amount of new office space currently allowed). This could have major impacts on traffic, displacement, and East Palo Alto’s sensitive shoreline.
Join the Sept 27th public workshop and Sept 28th City Council Meeting to learn more about the plan's impacts on the city and its residents and tell City Council what you think! See recordings of past public workshops and City Council Meetings online here.

Did you know that every new single-family California home provides Electric Vehicle (EV) charging? But that less than 40% of parking spaces in new multi-family homes will be EV ready if the proposed new CALGreen building code isn’t strengthened? We believe apartment and condo residents (predominantly people of color) deserve access to the financial, health and climate benefits of driving EVs and charging them at home.

Redwood City introduces great rebate programs for building electrification, solar installation, electric vehicle chargers, and more!
Redwood City homeowners can now receive $500 rebates for new heat pump hot water heaters, high-efficiency heat pumps, and electrical panel upgrades if required for new heat pump equipment.
There are additional rebates for income-qualified utility bill discount programs. Additional rebates for heat pumps and heat pump water heaters - and more! - are available through the BayREN program and Peninsula Clean Energy.
Redwood City also has a new rebate programs available for residential solar, electric vehicle chargers, electric lawn care equipment, and electric leaf blowers.
The applications are user friendly and open to all Redwood City residents. Act NOW, live healthier, and do your bit for climate change!

Join the Youth Climate Action Bootcamp! Apply now for the fall 2021 program
The Youth Climate Action Bootcamp is an effort from the office of Senator Josh Becker that aims to empower high school and community college students from the thirteenth State Senate district of California to take action against climate change and environmental injustice. Program participants will hear from policymakers, scientists, and other leaders in the environmental action movement and simultaneously engage in tangible actions to fight climate change. Coming Soon: Salmon People Project documentary highlights the current bleak situation of salmon and shows a pathway to recovery
Children of The Setting Sun (CSSP) launched The Salmon People Project to help Tribes reverse the devastating impact of salmon loss. The Salmon People documentary will highlight ongoing salmon recovery efforts along the Elwha River, 10 years after the removal of their dam.
The documentary will be broadcast on PBS and a feature length version will run at film festivals, they’re also planning to do a series that includes CA Tribes.

Our Environmental Legislative Action Team and Climate Action Leadership Team will show you how.
Your Loma Prieta Chapter is organizing a network of advocacy teams at the city level.
These are city-focused teams with the twin goals of spearheading actions to combat climate change and to conserve and restore natural habitats.
You will be working with city council members, key city staff, county officials, and other environmental activists. We welcome and educate those who are new to climate policy.
