Kansas Chapter Zero Waste Committee Presents "Straws"

July 26, 2022, 7 p.m. on Zoom |RSVP HERE

STRAWS outlines how billions of non-recyclable plastic straws contribute to landfills, litter streets and wash into oceans. Important questions are raised regarding plastic straw production and use. Marine researchers describe how our everyday plastic products end up in the oceans (even from Kansas) and cause harm to turtles, birds, fish and other sea life.

After the film, plan to visit with the members of the Zero Waste Committee to learn how anyone can take action to help save the world's oceans as well as Kansas lakes, streams and rivers. Let us know what you are already doing. We know Sierra Club members are at the forefront of saving our planet!

Cost: Free and open to Sierra Club members and friends. Advance registration required.

Signup Instructions: If you register, you will receive a Zoom link for the screening. RSVP HERE.
Please register by July 25th so you don't miss getting the Zoom link the day of the event!
