Waypoints February 2023

In this Black History Month, we honor the groundbreaking achievements of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress and the first Black Presidential candidate to seek the nomination from a major political party. And we salute Dr. Mae Jemison, engineer, physician, and the first African American woman to fly in space in 1992.

Legislative Update with Zack Pistora

Join us virtually or in person to hear what environmental issues are being considered in the Kansas Legislature this year. Management of water resources is on the table again, as well as the fate of the lesser prairie chicken. The Zombie “ban the ban” bill on plastics is back. What else is going on under the dome in Topeka? Learn how you can help our lobbyist Zack Pistora stop the bad bills and support the good ones.
