Lawrence City Commission: Close Lawrence Power Plant

Organized by Sierra Club and its Beyond Coal Campaign
The Lawrence City Commission voted to use clean energy only but Evergy broke its 2021 promise to stop burning coal in Lawrence.
Clean energy is more affordable but Evergy charged Lawrence customers higher bills,and wants a rate hike despite record profits.
Join us to tell the City of Lawrence to intervene in utility planning and demand that Evergy stop burning coal this year, as promised, in the Lawrence Power plant.
