Governor Hogan's Poor Environmental Record

Despite signing the fracking ban, Governor Hogan is now actively promoting fracked gas infrastructure in MD
Leading up to the election, we've been posting "#ThrowbackThursday" posts on social media to highlight the environmental missteps of the Hogan Administration.

Help us amplify the message by liking and sharing! Then follow us on Facebook to see the posts as they are published! Recent posts:

Road Show Tour:
Tell your elected leaders to say No to highway expansion & Yes to clean transportation!
Say no to expanded highways and more traffic congestion

Do you want to STOP the expansion of the Capital Beltway, I-270, the Baltimore Washington Parkway and see more transit, electric vehicle infrastructure, and walking and biking paths?

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is visiting your state and local legislators in EVERY county this fall to discuss the six-year capital budget for transportation projects.

Sign our ACTION ALERT to tell your legislators and council-members to attend the Transportation Road Show and urge them to tell Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn NO to highway expansion projects and YES to clean transportation!

Check here for more details on how you can be a part of the Road Show Tour.

Thanks! Lindsey Mendelson

Ask Weis Markets to Help Fight Superbugs!

Stop Antibiotic Super Bugs! Please submit your comments here! Thank you
Antibiotic resistance is a growing and scary issue. The drugs we rely on to fight even common infections are becoming less effective. A key reason is the overuse of antibiotics -- but not just in people. Did you know a whopping 70% of human antibiotics are actually sold for livestock?

One major supplier, Sanderson Farms, has continued its reckless use of antibiotics and even mocks antibiotic-free chicken as a marketing gimmick. Locally, Weis Markets buys Sanderson chicken for use as their store brand.

Please sign our petition to ask Weis Markets to switch to a more responsible supplier, and let Sanderson know why.

St Mary's Native Tree Planting Project Saturday, October 6

St Clement Shores Park St Marys county

We wish more of our parks looked like St. Clement Shores Park, under the cool shade of massive trees... Help us beautify our parks by planting native shade trees such as White Oak, Red Maple & Tulip Poplar to support the local ecosystem and provide habitat and sustenance for birds at playgrounds around the county!

Synthetic playground surfaces are 40-70 degrees hotter than the surrounding air! It's too hot in the summer for kids to play on the playground for most of the day.  Families need shaded playground areas to spend time outside. We are planting 10 foot tall trees so we can feel the benefits immediately. INFO & RSVP
