The Maryland Chapter of Sierra Club always needs volunteers! Our organization is different from many other environmental groups in that most of the work is done by volunteers, supported by a small number of paid staff. We want to protect the environment in Maryland and we can't do it without you.
If you want to stay close to home, contact your local Maryland Sierra Club Group.
You can also join a 1 hour volunteer orientation (posted on the Calendar)
Also, here are some specific positions that we currently need:
Conservation Committee Members

They shall keep abreast of the issues addressed in the Conservation Program, and maintain familiarity with SC Policies relating to those issues. They shall serve as a source of information and technical advice on the issues in relation to SC Policy.
Communications Coordinator: The Communications Coordinator serves as the main publicist for the Conservation Committee. They shall ensure that all volunteers involved with the Conservation Committee are receiving regular updates on Conservation Committee activities, events, and meetings.
