Climate Action Lobby Day

By Flora Cardoni, PennEnvironment Deputy Director

PennEnvironment’s biggest annual civic engagement activities: the 2025 Virtual Citizen Climate Action Lobby Day!

I'm glad to report that this year’s citizen lobby day was a huge success: all told, we had over 300 concerned Pennsylvanians join us to lobby their respective state representatives and state senators to call for more clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency in Pennsylvania.

Participants held 65 legislative meetings with House and Senate members– all in one day! There was also a virtual rally with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Jessica Shirley and State Senator Judy Schwank. And by the time the dust settled on the last meeting for the day, we helped convince dozens of legislators to co-sponsor critical clean energy legislation pending in the general assembly.

Check out our update to read more about this inspiring day!

PennEnvironment’s lobby day was co-sponsored by a wide coalition of groups, including: PennPIRG, Sierra Club Pennsylvania Chapter, POWER Interfaith, Vote Solar Action Fund, Third Act PA, Clean Air Action Fund, Audubon Mid-Atlantic, Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in PA, PA-IPL, Solar United Neighbors, KEEA, Evergreen, and more.

We’re excited to continue collaborating with all the participants and partner organizations who participated in Lobby Day–and all of you–to keep pushing for more clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency across the Commonwealth.
Thanks for your work and support.
