BALTIMORE: Number 1 in Air Pollution Deaths

We have said it for years now and we have seen various reports on the horrid air quality in Baltimore. But this is---this is horrific. A troubling new report in the journal, Atmospheric Environment, states that nationwide, 200,000 Americans die in the US each year from the effects of breathing dirty air pollution. Baltimore City leads the nation in deaths per 100,00 residents.

The Charles P. Crane and Herbert A. Wagner coal plants in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties have threaten public health in the area for decades. It is time to clean up our air for the citizens of Baltimore and the furture.
