Today, Transurban announced that they are withdrawing their plans to widen parts of I-495 and I-270 with private toll lanes.
Josh Tulkin, Director of the Sierra Club Maryland Chapter issued the following statement in response:
"The project was a bad deal for the environment and for the residents of Maryland. Now the state can take a fresh look at effective, equitable transportation solutions for the region."
