This Bay Alive poster was created by two young adult volunteers with obvious design capabilities, Ellie Frymire and Ana Illanes. It was on display at Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter's 2023 Guardians of Nature Benefit held on October 6th in Palo Alto. Attendees passed it on the way into the Benefit and it was projected on screen behind one of the presenters. Bay Alive is a three-chapter flagship local conservation campaign collaboration between the three Sierra Club chapters surrounding the Bay (Loma Prieta, San Francisco Bay, and Redwood Chapters). Bay Alive advocates for a region wide policy to use nature-based solutions to sea level rise to protect and expand the wetlands. There are also specific projects as a part of Bay Alive. The 30x30 and Bay Alive campaign have met monthly to coordinate capabilities to support Bay Alive. This poster is an example of the strength that comes from collaboration.
The poster was also used as a focal point of the Sierra Club CA 30x30 Campaign at the poster session on the second day of the 30x30 2023 Partnership Gathering in Riverside on October 11th and 12th. Notebooks of the Chapter's top five 30x30 Local Conservation Priorities were also displayed.
